SPIRIT OF MOON VALLEY
Honors a Moon Valley resident who embodies the Christmas spirit through hospitality and neighborly celebration, creating an inviting and festive atmosphere for all.

WHITE CHRISTMAS
Recognizes the most captivating monochromatic holiday display using all-white lighting. Homes will be judged on their use of white lights to enhance the holiday spirit and to highlight architectural or landscaping features.

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Awarded for the best display incorporating a child-related theme. Judging will focus on creativity, originality, design, and the use of lights and decorations.

SANTA’S HELPER
Recognizes homeowners who encourage interaction with spectators through their decorations. Examples include handing out candy canes, engaging with onlookers, or featuring live Christmas characters like Santa or elves. The display must also be notable.

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE
Celebrates the most “traditional” Christmas display. Judges will look for classic holiday décor such as wreaths, bows, holly, candles, subtle lighting, outdoor trees, and poinsettias. Blow-up figures are not considered traditional. Think of imagery from Miracle on 34th Street.

JINGLE BELL ROCK
Honors the best integration of multimedia elements, combining Christmas lights with music. Homes will be judged on the synchronization of lights with music, overall design, variety of lights, and song choice.

GRISWOLD
Awarded to the home that is the most creative, using the largest number of holiday decorations and lights. The display might even be visible from space!

PATRIOTIC
Recognizes the best incorporation of patriotic elements into a Christmas display.
